Reunion Events
FRI / SEP 11
We’ll kick off reunion weekend at 4:00 p.m. with a chance to return to where it all started! Meet at the front entrance of Central at 4:00 p.m. for reunion check-in, wristbands, and a tour of Central.
At 4:30 p.m., we’ll gather at Uncle Charlie’s (6001 Yellowstone Rd.) for drinks, food, and plenty of time to reconnect. If you weren’t able to check in at Central, you can check in here. Food will be available to order, along with a cash bar.
At 6:30 p.m., we’ll head to the Central High School football game at Riske Field. (5500 Education Dr.) We’ll sit together and cheer on Central! Admission is $5 at the gate.
After the game, head back to Uncle Charlie’s if you’d like to keep the evening going.
SAT / SEP 12
Saturday morning gives you a choice!
For the early risers and outdoor crowd, meet at Little America (2800 W Lincolnway) at 8:00 a.m. for a hike at Curt Gowdy State Park. (1264 Granite Springs Rd.) Plan on approximately 1½–2 hours for the hike, plus about a 30-minute drive each way. There is a $12 per-vehicle entrance fee.
Prefer a slower start? Meet at Paramount Café at 9:00 a.m. for coffee (1607 Capitol Ave). After that we invite you to rediscover Cheyenne. From 10:00 a.m.–noon, spend some time exploring and shopping downtown. We’ll provide some suggestions for places to visit, or you can simply wander and enjoy downtown at your own pace.
At noon, join us for a picnic at the Langley House (2903 Carey Ave). Bring your own lunch for a casual, family-friendly hang. Bring a lawn chair if you can, and feel free to bring a favorite yard or outdoor game. We’ll hang out until about 2:00 p.m.
For anyone looking for an afternoon adventure, It’s UNC vs. University of Wyoming football game in Laramie is an optional activity beginning at 2:00 p.m. Tickets and transportation are on your own, and tailgating is another option.
Then it’s time for the main event! Our Big Reunion Party begins at 7:00 p.m. at Westby Edge (714 W. 20th St). This is an adults-only event. Heavy appetizers, a cash bar, music, lawn games, reunion photos, and plenty of opportunities to catch up with old friends. We’ll also have some fun class superlatives and prizes, including who traveled the farthest to attend, who has lived in the most places since 1996, and more.
SUN / SEP 13
Before everyone heads home, we have one more morning together.
Join us at 8:00 a.m. for a casual Fun Run/Walk at Lions Park. The loop is approximately 1–1.3 miles depending on the route, so you can do as many or as few laps as you’d like. Runners, walkers, families, strollers, and dogs are absolutely welcome!
Afterward, meet at Central Café at 9:00 a.m. for coffee (3920 Central Ave #1) and one last chance to visit before we wrap up reunion weekend.
We’re looking forward to a weekend of reconnecting, reminiscing, and celebrating 30 years since 1996!
